Comparable in price to competitors and compostable!

I usually get my dog poop bags in bulk and plastic bags made from recycled content usually cost about 7 cents each. These work put to 8 cents each and are compostable - either in your home compost or municipal compost. My municipality does not accept dog waste in our composting program, but my local neighbourhood has Sutera in-ground dog waste collection. Using these bags makes me feel better that they will break down faster for processing. The size is comparable to my usual brand of dog poop bags. They feel slightly thicker and sturdier than my green bin bags, but has that same slick feel to them. They work well in conventional poop bag dispensers.

User-friendly poop bags :D

Roll fits into a standard poop bag holder and the size of each bag seems standard. The material is durable enough to hold your dog’s poop securely. I like that it tears easily at the perforations and the bags open easily too so I don’t have to struggle while standing next to my dog’s poop. The material feels like previous compostable bags that I’ve touched. It’s slightly translucent so you can see your dog’s poop a bit but it’s not super obvious.

Excellent quality and value

I love these compostable bags, they are truly a bag that breaks down and I can attest to it since I left one outside for a week in the rain and it's no longer solid.I still don't love throwing these in a compost bin, it just feels wrong, but I have no doubt that they are compost safe. You get quite a few rolls with this kit, it will last a long time.Very happy with these bags!

Love how thick they are

I don't intend to compost these but I was really surprised by the quality of these bags and the thickness of the material considering that they're compostable. I love properly thick poop bags, these are definitely not going to rip on you. It's good that they're strong because I'm actually using them for cleaning up larger and heavier messes. They have good capacity too. I'm very happy with these, theyre exceptional quality.

They’re expensive, but compostable!

This is my first stab at getting compostable poop bags and overall these did not disappoint, and conveniently fit well in the poop-bag leash accessory that they sell separately, but equally work well as standalone. The 270 count means you’ll have plenty of bags to last you several months, but the benefit of getting these is knowing you can put them in your compost bin and they are biodegradable. In terms of actual performance, they bags have a glossy / satin-like feels and you’ll want to be careful if you have nails not to pierce through, otherwise the quality and durability is as expected with these. They do not have any scents, so if you love scented bags you’ll want to get another type.Overall, I like these as I can compost them and they fit nicely on my leash bag holder so I will buy these again for sure. The premium is worth it if you’re into these and it’s nice to be supporting Canadian!

Loopa Pets™ Poopsie Certified Compostable Dog Poop Bags

Loopa Pets™ Poopsie Certified Compostable Dog Poop BagsAvid poop picker upper here, ha. These are decent quality bags, I wouldn't classify them as thick but they seem quality made and are thick enough to keep majority of the smell in. They have almost a latex glove feel to them, not a standard plastic poo bag, but I don't see anything labeled on the box. Will continue use these bags happily. Scent free.

Certified compostable, feels like green bin bag. Soft, unscented. Watch your nails! Expensive

There are a million different dog poop bags out there. I use a couple a day when I walk my dog. You never want to be without so I always carry a roll in my pocket and one in my holder, and if I run into anyone else who needs one I can help them out too. These bags are certified compostable. There are 18 rolls in the box and 270 bags, which works out to 15 bags on a roll. About 9 cents a bag. They feel extremely soft and silky and just like the green bin bags we used. Now the fear with thin bags is that your hands will go through when you're picking up the poop. My nails do make marks in the bags. If I push hard, my nail seems to poke through but it isn't actually putting a hole in it. I tried this on an empty bag and then filled it with air and twisted it to test the weak spot and it was fine. I'd still recommend being careful. A sharp stick next to the poop could tear a hole. There's no scent to these bags, which is nice and you can feel a little bit better about the environment when you're using compostable bags. Yes, they're expensive but they're also better for the earth.

Effective and eco-friendly poop bags for your dogs

These Poopsie compostable dog poop bags are a great option if you’re trying to make everyday pet care a bit more eco-conscious without sacrificing practicality. The bags feel sturdy and reliable, with enough thickness that you don’t have to worry about leaks or tearing during walks. They open easily too, which is something you definitely appreciate when you’re outside with an impatient dog waiting nearby. It’s nice knowing they’re made from plant-based compostable materials instead of traditional plastic, and the fact they come from a woman-owned Canadian brand adds a nice extra touch to support local. Even though they’re eco-friendly, they still feel durable enough for regular daily use, which isn’t always the case with compostable bags. The large pack size is convenient as well, since it lasts quite a while before needing to reorder. A simple swap that feels a little better environmentally while still doing exactly what you need it to do.

Good quality

The listing dimensions are accurate (33cm x 23cm / 13” x 9”), which makes these bags good for small and medium-sized breeds (might also work for large dogs as well, just don't have experience with the bigger breeds, so I'm not sure if this size of bag would be up for the job or not). The perforations tear cleanly and the bag material is pretty thick, after using a number of them now I've had no issues with rips or leakage. For me, the bags being unscented is a huge bonus, I've never been a fan of bags with harsh, chemical-based scents like “lavender” or “lemon” that sometimes smell worse than what the bag contains, so a big two-thumbs-up for being unscented. There are compostable certifications listed on the bags for Australia and Europe (via TUV Austria), which lets me know they conform to some international standards, but it would be nice if there were North American (and Canadian specific) certifications also on the product, perhaps this is something the Loopa folks can work towards in the future.

Pay a bit more to feel good picking up poop

The main selling point of these poop bags is to support a Canadian small business, and that they're certified compostable. The bags themselves are in the common folded rolls, which I normally don't like because they can be a pain to unfold and open, especially on the side of the road while your dog is pulling on the leash. But these bags have a nice satin smooth like finish so they don't stick to themselves, and they're the easiest opening bags I've ever used. Otherwise, they're poop bags, and yes, they work to hold poop. They're straight rectangular bags, no handy tie handles which would have been nice for the price. Speaking of which, the biggest problem is the price, as these bags are somewhat expensive even compared to other compostable poop bags. And when you can still get a 160 roll of regular bags for $3 from the dollar store, it gets a bit hard to justify. Plus, about that supporting Canadian business thing, these are after all made in China, so a bit of a stretch on the marketing front. Anyway, these are good poop bags, and it's overall a decent product. They're just asking for too much money for you to feel good, and that doesn't feel so good.

Great compostable dog waste bags

I ordered these Loopa pets Poopsie certified compostable dog poop bags to facilitate clean up during our dog's walks. These compostable dog waste bags arrived quickly and were packaged well to withstand the rigours of shipping. These dog bags are heavy duty and withstood the normal amount of waste we typically clean up after our dog during her walks with no tearing or dripping etc. I love that these dog bags are compostable so I don't have to feel so guilty that I am using a plastic bag that takes way to long to break down. These bags were easy to tear at the perforation and the plastic sticker at the beginning of a roll comes off easily without a fight.Overall I am thrilled with these dog waste bags and love that they are compostable. I would definitely buy again.

Feel durable and the sticker peels off smoothly so you don't waste the first bag.

I ordered these poop bags through the Vine program. I like how durable they feel and that they are compostable bags. They arrived in a small but compact box, making it easy for storage. You get two hundred and seventy (270) bags that are approx. thirteen (13) inches in length.I've only been using these for a couple of days, and they work well with my small dogs. After using it, there was "lots of room left" in the bag, so it should work well with medium-sized dogs too. FYI, the sticker peels off smoothly so you don't waste the first bag. Overall, they seem well-made and rate them a 4.5 out of 5.

hold up well, reliable, and hold in odour

Poopsie compostable dog poop bags are a really great option if you’re looking for something more eco-conscious without giving up convenience or quality. The bags feel strong and durable, with enough thickness that you don’t have to worry about leaks or tearing while out on walks. They also open easily, which is something you really appreciate when handling things quickly with a dog waiting nearby.I also like that they’re made from plant-based compostable materials instead of regular plastic, making them feel like a better environmental choice for everyday use. It’s also nice supporting a woman-owned Canadian brand, which adds an extra positive touch.Even though they’re compostable, they still hold up really well for regular daily use, which isn’t always the case with eco-friendly bags. The large pack size is another bonus because it lasts a long time before needing to reorder.Overall, they’re reliable, easy to use, environmentally friendlier than standard bags, and still practical enough for everyday dog walks.

Really good bags

I ordered this pack of compostable dog droppings bags as I ran out of my old ones and I am super happy with how these bags feel way stronger than the old ones I had. The previous ones I had were so thin that sometimes just by touching the ground they would tear and sometimes cause accidents. These ones on the other hand are way stronger and feel of much better quality than the other. They have a decent size so I can use them for multiple droppings in my yard. The bags are quite resistant to both weight and punctures (when I accidentally pick up a stick or something), which I really appreciate. The fact they are compostable also makes these useful for disposing of food making them really versatile. Overall I recommend these bags as they offer a lot of value and quality.

Easy to use compostable and unscented

These are soft compostable bags that come in rolls, they are unscented which I very much prefer and they’re easy to use. We have a very large dog so it’s nothing to go through two bags per load and so far we’ve had no rips or tares with these bags but we are gentle with them. Overall we like them and think they’re decent bags, they may be a bit pricy for what you get but we’re satisfied.
